Difference Between Patio and Garden

Patio and Garden both refer to one another. The garden that is normally small in area and located in the home is known as patio. On the other hand a garden is typically located outdoors and patio is found indoors. History of patio and garden is related to very old days. Garden was first built by the Egyptians in the early 1500 BC. After that the gardening tradition was then found in Persia. In the same days, garden tradition was also found in Athens and Theophrastus.

A Spanish word that means “back garden” is referred as “Patio”. It is often used for dinning or to spend free time in healthy activities. Patios are constructed by using material like concrete or stone slabs, which are placed over a stiff base. To make sure that the base is firm, it is constructed by using stone chips, a layer of cement and a cover of sharp sand. The toughness and firmness of the base is very important, if not the outer layer of slabs may fracture.

An intended space, specially designed for growing plants and other agriculture is referred to as “Garden”. Garden is generally made outdoors to put on view and gardening. Home Garden is the most common form of garden. It is typically built near to a home. It can also be constructed on a patio, on the roof or on a balcony in your home. Domestic garden may also be referred as residential garden. Basic purpose of domestic garden is normally, private use. Western gardens and zoological gardens are some more types. In western gardens, several types of plants are grown and the zoological gardens are formed in zoos to make available natural surroundings to the animals.
