There is wide variety of car entertainment system available in the market today. We have a choice to install a Hi-fi car stereo system with sound surround option, the Mobile DVD, CD or MP3 player or a car navigation system. Until recently only a VCR and Television was a source of entertainment in cars for rear seat passengers but today we have a heap of car entertainment choices such as In Dash LCDs, DVD Video playback for movies and navigation information, and complete surround sound systems and they are becoming everyday add-ons. There are basically two major types of Mobile DVD players available in the market.
- Portable DVD Player
- In Dash DVD Player
The Portable DVD systems are not slim and sleek or worry free as In Dash DVD systems. The Portable DVD players are cheaper and more versatile and normally powered by your car’s 12-volt power adopter. You can bring them with you off the car whenever you want and can be powered by home electricity as well.
The In dash DVD players are hardwired in your car’s entertainment system. They can display movies either on the flip down monitors, headrest and visor monitors, in-dash monitors etc. Though once installed, these Mobile DVD players are not portable outside the car and they don’t need extra cords and wires.
Here are some basic instructions for the proper installation of the Mobile DVD players in your car. First of all open the hood of the car and disconnect the battery. After that remove the stereo from the dashboard then carefully remove the connectors from the back of the stereo. Connect the wiring harness to the car’s connector and insert the Mobile In Dash DVD player. Connect the other end of wiring harness to the back of the Mobile DVD player. Insert the Mobile DVD player and installation kit in the car’s dashboard. At the end of installation replace the battery cables and make sure they are tightened. That’s it; you are ready to play the Mobile DVD in your car.
umm! its a good life saving tip actually.
